South Alabama Falls 70-69 to Auburn - Recap
Auburn grabbed a 70-69 win over South Alabama on Tuesday, behind a 15-point effort from Isaac Okoro at Mitchell Center.
Auburn earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -7.0-point spread.
Jamal Johnson had 14 points for Auburn and Anfernee McLemore chipped in with 14 points. Isaac Okoro had 6 assists for them, while Samir Doughty was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.
South Alabama got 23 points from Andre Fox in a losing cause and another 15 points from Josh Ajayi. Trhae Mitchell contributed 4 assists for them, while Andre Fox had 10 rebounds.
Auburn was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
South Alabama won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 38-33.
Next game, Auburn takes its act home to face Cal State-Northridge looking for another win. For South Alabama, they head on the road to face Chattanooga.
