Tennessee State grabbed a 79-78 win over Lipscomb on Tuesday, behind a 23-point effort from Michael Littlejohn at Gentry Center.
Tennessee State got 13 points from Wesley Harris and another 11 points from Jy'lan Washington. Mark Freeman contributed 6 assists, while Jy'lan Washington cleaned the glass with 13 rebounds.
Lipscomb got a 16-point performance from KJ Johnson, who was supported by 14 points from Michael Buckland. Andrew Fleming had 5 assists in a losing cause for Lipscomb, while Parker Hazen grabbed 4 rebounds.
Tennessee State was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Tennessee State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 36-19.
