Minnesota Falls 72-52 to Iowa - Recap
The battle between Iowa and Minnesota didnt turn out to be much of a battle at all as Minnesota was handed a 72-52 defeat on Monday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Iowa was the ATS victor, as they covered the -5.5-point spread as a favorite.
Iowa got 23 points from Joe Wieskamp and another 21 points from Luka Garza. Jordan Bohannon contributed 10 assists, while Luka Garza cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Minnesota got 22 points from Daniel Oturu in a losing cause and another 13 points from Alihan Demir. Marc Cabrera contributed 7 assists for them, while Daniel Oturu had 12 rebounds.
Iowa was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Iowa won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 36-31.
Iowa heads into a battle against Iowa State. Minnesota, meanwhile, will have their next action against Ohio State.
