Appalachian State Defeats Howard 81-59 - Recap
Howard was run off the court by Appalachian State on Saturday as they blasted them 81-59 at Burr Arena.
Appalachian State got 19 points from Isaac Johnson and another 14 points from O'Showen Williams. Isaac Johnson contributed 7 assists, while Isaac Johnson cleaned the glass with 12 rebounds.
Howard got a 17-point performance from Charles Williams, who was supported by 11 points from Nate Garvey. Ian Lee had 2 assists in a losing cause for Howard, while Zion Cousins grabbed 8 rebounds.
Appalachian State led at halftime, 42-31.
Appalachian State had a 41-27 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Appalachian State heads into a battle against South Alabama. Howard, meanwhile, will have their next action against Regent.
