USC Upstate got 19 points from Tommy Bruner en route to a 73-70 victory over South Carolina State on Wednesday at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Center.
Bryson Mozone had 15 points for USC Upstate and Everette Hammond chipped in with 12 points. Dalvin White had 3 assists for them, while Nevin Zink was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 5 boards.
