Yale earned a 89-75 victory over Howard on Monday, getting 21 points from Paul Atkinson at Burr Arena.
Yale got 15 points from Matthue Cotton and another 12 points from Azar Swain. Jordan Bruner contributed 6 assists, while Jordan Bruner cleaned the glass with 13 rebounds.
Howard got a 19-point performance from Kyle Foster, who was supported by 16 points from Charles Williams. Khalil Robinson had 6 assists in a losing cause for Howard, while Zion Cousins grabbed 9 rebounds.
Yale was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Yale had a 40-26 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
