Connecticut Falls 63-59 to Houston - Recap

Houston grabbed a 63-59 win over Connecticut on Thursday, behind a 20-point effort from Caleb Mills at Fertitta Center.

Houston won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -9.5-point spread.

Houston got 18 points from DeJon Jarreau and another 9 points from Quentin Grimes. DeJon Jarreau contributed 8 assists, while DeJon Jarreau cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.

Connecticut got 14 points from Christian Vital in a losing cause and another 13 points from Isaiah Whaley. Alterique Gilbert contributed 4 assists for them, while Isaiah Whaley had 11 rebounds.

First-half bettors who backed Connecticut were victorious, as the score was 30-26 at the break.

Houston won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 42-28.

Next game, Houston takes its act home to face South Florida looking for another win. For Connecticut, they head home to face Tulsa.
