Connecticut Falls 79-75 to Tulsa - Recap

Martins Igbanu scored 28 points and chipped in with 10 rebounds for Tulsa on Sunday, leading them to a 79-75 victory over Connecticut at XL Center.

Tulsa won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +5.5-point spread as underdogs.

Tulsa got 14 points from Darien Jackson and another 14 points from Brandon Rachal. Elijah Joiner contributed 8 assists, while Jeriah Horne cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.

Connecticut got a 16-point performance from James Bouknight, who was supported by 13 points from Akok Akok. Jalen Gaffney had 5 assists in a losing cause for Connecticut, while Christian Vital grabbed 7 rebounds.

Tulsa led at halftime, 28-24.

Tulsa won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 39-34.

Next game, Tulsa takes its act home to face Wichita State looking for another win. For Connecticut, they head home to face Temple.
