Recap - Clemson Defeats Syracuse 71-70

Syracuse was victimized for 32 points and 10 rebounds by Tevin Mack as Clemson defeated them 71-70 in NCAA action on Tuesday.

Clemson won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -1.5-point spread.

Clemson got 17 points from Clyde Trapp and another 9 points from John Newman III. Clyde Trapp contributed 6 assists, while Tevin Mack cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.

Syracuse got a 22-point performance from Buddy Boeheim, who was supported by 22 points from Elijah Hughes. Elijah Hughes had 2 assists in a losing cause for Syracuse, while Quincy Guerrier grabbed 5 rebounds.

Clemson trailed at halftime, 35-34.

Clemson won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 34-22.

Clemson looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Wake Forest. Syracuse will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Duke.
