UMass Defeats George Mason 69-67 - Recap
UMass grabbed a 69-67 win over George Mason on Sunday, behind a 17-point effort from Preston Santos at William D. Mullins Center.
UMass was a favorite by -1.5 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors.
UMass got 16 points from Tre Mitchell and another 12 points from Sean East II. Preston Santos contributed 4 assists, while Sean East II cleaned the glass with 5 rebounds.
George Mason got 19 points from Javon Greene in a losing cause and another 12 points from Jordan Miller. Jamal Hartwell II contributed 3 assists for them, while Josh Oduro had 7 rebounds.
UMass was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
UMass won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 27-24.
Next game, UMass takes its act home to face Dayton looking for another win. For George Mason, they head on the road to face VCU.
