Recap - Southern Methodist Defeats Houston 73-72

Southern Methodist grabbed a 73-72 win over Houston on Saturday, behind a 20-point effort from Tyson Jolly at Moody Coliseum.

Southern Methodist was a +1.5-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters.

Feron Hunt had 15 points for Southern Methodist and Isiaha Mike chipped in with 15 points. Kendric Davis had 8 assists for them, while Isiaha Mike was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 6 boards.

Houston got 26 points from Marcus Sasser in a losing cause and another 15 points from DeJon Jarreau. Nate Hinton contributed 4 assists for them, while Chris Harris Jr. had 10 rebounds.

Southern Methodist was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Houston won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 29-25.

Next game, Southern Methodist takes its act on the road to face Tulane looking for another win. For Houston, they head home to face Tulsa.
