Orlando Invitational - Davidson Defeats Fairfield 67-56 - Recap
Kellan Grady scored 15 points leading Davidson to a 67-56 victory over Fairfield at HP Field House on Friday.
Davidson did not, however, defeat Fairfield against the spread, which closed at -12.0 at most sportsbooks.
Carter Collins had 14 points for Davidson and Luka Brajkovic chipped in with 13 points. Jon Axel Gudmundsson had 3 assists for them, while Jon Axel Gudmundsson was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 5 boards.
Fairfield got a 10-point performance from Jesus Cruz, who was supported by 10 points from Landon Taliaferro. Taj Benning had 2 assists in a losing cause for Fairfield, while Kevin Senghore-Peterson grabbed 6 rebounds.
Davidson was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Davidson won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 28-27.
Next game, Davidson takes its act on the road to face Northeastern looking for another win. For Fairfield, they head home to face William & Mary.
