Tennessee-Martin Falls 90-69 Against Belmont - Game Recap
The battle between Belmont and Tennessee-Martin didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Tennessee-Martin was handed a 90-69 defeat on Saturday at Skyhawk Arena.
Belmont won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -16.0-point spread as favorites.
Belmont got 21 points from Ben Sheppard and another 17 points from JaCobi Wood. EJ Bellinger contributed 6 assists, while Grayson Murphy cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
Tennessee-Martin got a 16-point performance from Cameron Holden, who was supported by 13 points from Eden Holt. Kenton Eskridge had 7 assists in a losing cause for Tennessee-Martin, while Cameron Holden grabbed 7 rebounds.
Belmont led at halftime, 44-25.
Belmont won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 34-31.
Next game, Belmont takes its act home to face Southeast Missouri State looking for another win. For Tennessee-Martin, they head on the road to face Tennessee State.
