New Orleans Falls 105-101 to Nicholls State - Recap
Najee Garvin scored 28 points and added 14 rebounds for a double-double, leading Nicholls State over New Orleans, 105-101, on Saturday at Lakefront Arena.
Nicholls State got 26 points from Ty Gordon and another 16 points from Jaylen Fornes. Andre Jones contributed 8 assists, while Najee Garvin cleaned the glass with 14 rebounds.
New Orleans got 32 points from Derek St. Hilaire in a losing cause and another 21 points from Troy Green. Rodney Carson Jr. contributed 3 assists for them, while Damion Rosser had 9 rebounds.
Nicholls State was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Nicholls State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 38-34.
Nicholls State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Northwestern State. New Orleans will aim to get back on the winning track at Incarnate Word.
