High Point grabbed a 73-63 win over Howard on Saturday, behind a 20-point effort from John-Michael Wright at Qubein Center.
High Point got 15 points from Bryant Randleman and another 14 points from Zach Austin. John-Michael Wright contributed 5 assists, while Emmanuel Izunabor cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
Howard got 21 points from Steve Settle III in a losing cause and another 10 points from Randall Brumant. Elijah Hawkins contributed 6 assists for them, while Randall Brumant had 6 rebounds.
High Point was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
High Point won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 39-27.
High Point looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Chowan. Howard will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Austin Peay.
