Furman vs College of Charleston Final: 91-88 - Recap
College of Charleston was victimized for 33 points and 13 rebounds by Jalen Slawson as Furman defeated them 91-88 in NCAA action on Friday.
Furman did not, however, defeat College of Charleston against the spread, which closed at -7.5 at most sportsbooks.
Furman got 25 points from Alex Hunter and another 19 points from Mike Bothwell. Conley Garrison contributed 4 assists, while Jalen Slawson cleaned the glass with 13 rebounds.
College of Charleston got a 24-point performance from Reyne Smith, who was supported by 15 points from Dimitrius Underwood. Fah'mir Ali had 3 assists in a losing cause for College of Charleston, while Dimitrius Underwood grabbed 9 rebounds.
Furman was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
College of Charleston won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 38-30.
Furman looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Winthrop. College of Charleston will aim to get back on the winning track at Tulane.
