Rutgers Defeats Purdue 70-68 - Recap
Purdue was victimized for 30 points and 10 rebounds by Ron Harper Jr. as Rutgers defeated them 70-68 in NCAA action on Thursday.
Rutgers won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +13.5-point spread as underdogs.
Rutgers got 12 points from Mawot Mag and another 12 points from Caleb McConnell. Paul Mulcahy contributed 8 assists, while Ron Harper Jr. cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Purdue got 21 points from Trevion Williams in a losing cause and another 15 points from Jaden Ivey. Jaden Ivey contributed 3 assists for them, while Trevion Williams had 11 rebounds.
Rutgers was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Purdue won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 30-22.
Rutgers looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Seton Hall. Purdue will aim to get back on the winning track at NC State.
