Connecticut Defeats Georgetown University 96-73 - Recap

The battle between Connecticut and Georgetown University didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Georgetown University was handed a 96-73 defeat on Tuesday at Harry A. Gampel Pavilion.

Connecticut was a -15.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters.

Connecticut got 19 points from Adama Sanogo and another 15 points from Isaiah Whaley. R.J. Cole contributed 7 assists, while Tyrese Martin cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.

Georgetown University got a 15-point performance from Aminu Mohammed, who was supported by 11 points from Collin Holloway. Tyler Beard had 3 assists in a losing cause for Georgetown University, while Aminu Mohammed grabbed 7 rebounds.

Connecticut was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Connecticut won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 35-23.

Next game, Connecticut takes its act on the road to face DePaul looking for another win. For Georgetown University, they head on the road to face Butler.
