Pepperdine Falls 91-85 to BYU - Recap

Pepperdine was victimized by Alex Barcello for 33 points as BYU defeated them 91-85 in NCAA action on Saturday.

BYU won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -12.5-point spread.

Pepperdine got 31 points from Houston Mallette in a losing cause and another 20 points from Jan Zidek. Darryl Polk Jr. contributed 7 assists for them, while Jan Zidek had 4 rebounds.

First-half bettors who backed BYU were victorious, as the score was 48-39 at the break.

BYU won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 26-14.

Next game, BYU takes its act on the road to face St. Mary's looking for another win. For Pepperdine, they head home to face Gonzaga.
