South Florida Falls 74-54 to SMU - Recap
The battle between SMU and South Florida didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as South Florida was handed a 74-54 defeat on Wednesday at Yuengling Center.
Bettors who backed SMU were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -7.5 at sportsbooks.
Marcus Weathers had 17 points for SMU and Kendric Davis chipped in with 13 points. Kendric Davis had 5 assists for them, while Kendric Davis was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 6 boards.
South Florida got a 14-point performance from Caleb Murphy, who was supported by 11 points from Jamir Chaplin. Trey Moss had 2 assists in a losing cause for South Florida, while Javon Greene grabbed 6 rebounds.
SMU was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
SMU won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 31-28.
