March Madness - Recap - Gonzaga Defeats Georgia State 93-72
Georgia State was run off the court by Gonzaga on Thursday as they blasted them 93-72 at Moda Center at the Rose Quarter.
Gonzaga won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -22.5-point spread.
Gonzaga got 32 points from Drew Timme and another 19 points from Chet Holmgren. Andrew Nembhard contributed 11 assists, while Chet Holmgren cleaned the glass with 17 rebounds.
Georgia State got 16 points from Corey Allen in a losing cause and another 12 points from Jalen Thomas. Justin Roberts contributed 5 assists for them, while Jalen Thomas had 9 rebounds.
Gonzaga was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Gonzaga won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 53-36.
