Recap - Lipscomb Defeats Liberty 69-64
Derrin Boyd scored 22 points leading Lipscomb to a 69-64 victory over Liberty at Allen Arena on Saturday.
Lipscomb got 16 points from Will Pruitt and another 13 points from Jacob Ognacevic. Tommy Murr contributed 2 assists, while Jacob Ognacevic cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
Liberty got 19 points from Darius McGhee in a losing cause and another 11 points from Colin Porter. Kyle Rode contributed 4 assists for them, while Blake Preston had 9 rebounds.
Lipscomb was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Lipscomb had a 34-31 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Lipscomb takes its act on the road to face Central Arkansas looking for another win. For Liberty, they head home to face Bellarmine.
