SMU was burned for 28 points by Trace Young on Saturday as Jackson State picked up a 69-68 win at Moody Coliseum.
Jackson State got 18 points from Coltie Young and another 10 points from Zeke Cook. Ken Evans Jr. contributed 7 assists, while Trace Young cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
SMU got a 23-point performance from Zhuric Phelps, who was supported by 21 points from Zach Nutall. Samuell Williamson had 7 assists in a losing cause for SMU, while Efe Odigie grabbed 8 rebounds.
