Western Carolina Defeats Lindenwood 90-88 - Recap

Tre Jackson scored 19 points leading Western Carolina to a 90-88 victory over Lindenwood at The Legacy Center on Sunday.

Western Carolina did not, however, defeat Lindenwood against the spread, which closed at -7.0 at most sportsbooks.

Western Carolina got 17 points from Russell Jones Jr and another 16 points from Tyzhaun Claude. Vonterius Woolbright contributed 8 assists, while Tyzhaun Claude cleaned the glass with 13 rebounds.

Lindenwood got a 24-point performance from Cam Burrell, who was supported by 20 points from Kevin Caldwell Jr.. Kevin Caldwell Jr. had 9 assists in a losing cause for Lindenwood, while David Ware grabbed 9 rebounds.

Western Carolina was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Lindenwood won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 42-41.

Western Carolina looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the UNC Asheville. Lindenwood will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Idaho State.
