Recap - St. Mary's Defeats San Diego 81-70
San Diego was scorched by Aidan Mahaney for 25 points as St. Mary's defeated them 81-70 in NCAA action on Thursday.
St. Mary's did not, however, defeat San Diego against the spread, which closed at -13.5 at most sportsbooks.
St. Mary's got 16 points from Augustas Marciulionis and another 14 points from Mitchell Saxen. Augustas Marciulionis contributed 10 assists, while Luke Barrett cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
San Diego got 34 points from Deuce Turner in a losing cause and another 12 points from Wayne McKinney III. Deuce Turner contributed 2 assists for them, while Steven Jamerson II had 8 rebounds.
St. Mary's was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
St. Mary's won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 24-21.
