Bethune-Cookman Falls 69-48 to Longwood - Recap
The battle between Longwood and Bethune-Cookman didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Bethune-Cookman was handed a 69-48 defeat on Sunday at Joan Perry Brock Center.
Johnathan Massie had 18 points for Longwood and DA Houston chipped in with 15 points. Walyn Napper had 4 assists for them, while Michael Christmas was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 9 boards.
Bethune-Cookman got a 13-point performance from Elijah Hulsewe, who was supported by 8 points from Dhashon Dyson. Seneca Willoughby had 2 assists in a losing cause for Bethune-Cookman, while Elijah Hulsewe grabbed 7 rebounds.
Longwood had a 39-26 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Longwood heads into a battle against Newport News. Bethune-Cookman, meanwhile, will have their next action against Incarnate Word.
