Illinois Falls 90-89 to Penn State - Recap

Penn State grabbed a 90-89 win over Illinois on Wednesday, behind a 22-point effort from Nick Kern Jr. at Rec Hall.

Penn State was a +7.5-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters.

Zach Hicks had 13 points for Penn State and Qudus Wahab chipped in with 13 points. Ace Baldwin Jr. had 12 assists for them, while Zach Hicks was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 8 boards.

Illinois got a 35-point performance from Terrence Shannon Jr., who was supported by 15 points from Marcus Domask. Marcus Domask had 6 assists in a losing cause for Illinois, while Terrence Shannon Jr. grabbed 11 rebounds.

Penn State was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Illinois won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 43-23.

Penn State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Indiana. Illinois will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Iowa.
