Delaware Defeats Monmouth 84-80 - Recap
Delaware got 19 points from Jyare Davis as they ran past Monmouth 84-80 on Saturday at Bob Carpenter Center.
Delaware earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -7.0-point spread.
Delaware got 13 points from Cavan Reilly and another 13 points from Christian Ray. Jalun Trent contributed 4 assists, while Jyare Davis cleaned the glass with 12 rebounds.
Monmouth got a 24-point performance from Xander Rice, who was supported by 14 points from Nikita Konstantynovskyi. Xander Rice had 5 assists in a losing cause for Monmouth, while Jack Collins grabbed 9 rebounds.
Delaware was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Monmouth won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 35-34.
Delaware looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Towson. Monmouth will aim to get back on the winning track vs. William & Mary.
