USC Upstate grabbed a 69-64 win over Longwood on Wednesday, behind a 20-point effort from Trae Broadnax at Joan Perry Brock Center.
USC Upstate got 14 points from Justin Bailey and another 12 points from Ahmir Langlais. Jalen Breazeale contributed 7 assists, while Ahmir Langlais cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
Longwood got a 17-point performance from Walyn Napper, who was supported by 10 points from Michael Christmas. Jesper Granlund had 3 assists in a losing cause for Longwood, while Johnathan Massie grabbed 8 rebounds.
USC Upstate led at halftime, 37-31.
Longwood had a 42-29 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
