Chicago State grabbed a 78-67 win over Southern Indiana on Sunday, behind a 23-point effort from Wesley Cardet Jr. at Screaming Eagles Arena.
Chicago State got 18 points from Jahsean Corbett and another 16 points from Brent Davis. Kedrick Green contributed 8 assists, while Deshawn Jean-Charles cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
Southern Indiana got 21 points from AJ Smith in a losing cause and another 18 points from Jeremiah Hernandez. Jack Campion contributed 5 assists for them, while AJ Smith had 16 rebounds.
Chicago State led at halftime, 41-23.
Southern Indiana won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 39-29.
Next game, Chicago State takes its act home to face Cal State-Northridge looking for another win. For Southern Indiana, they head home to face Tiffin.
