Walyn Napper scored 20 points leading Longwood to a 69-56 victory over Winthrop at Qubein Center on Friday.
Longwood got 11 points from Emanuel Richards and another 10 points from Johnathan Massie. DA Houston contributed 4 assists, while Elijah Tucker cleaned the glass with 6 rebounds.
Winthrop got 19 points from Sin'Cere McMahon in a losing cause and another 10 points from Micheal Anumba. Kasen Harrison contributed 6 assists for them, while Kelton Talford had 10 rebounds.
Longwood won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 33-29.
