March Madness - McNeese State Falls 86-65 Against Gonzaga - Game Recap
The battle between Gonzaga and McNeese State didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as McNeese State was handed a 86-65 defeat on Thursday at Delta Center.
Gonzaga won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -6.5-point spread as favorites.
Graham Ike had 16 points for Gonzaga and Anton Watson chipped in with 13 points. Anton Watson had 9 assists for them, while Anton Watson was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 13 boards.
McNeese State got a 19-point performance from Shahada Wells, who was supported by 19 points from Christian Shumate. DJ Richards Jr. had 3 assists in a losing cause for McNeese State, while Christian Shumate grabbed 11 rebounds.
Gonzaga was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Gonzaga won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 38-31.
