Phoenix Falls 100-88 to Lynx - Recap

It sure wasn't going to be a low-scoring affair and Minnesota made sure they came out on the winning end on Thursday, grabbing a 100-88 victory over the Mercury at Target Center.

Minnesota won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -2.0-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 166.5.

The Mercury got a 26-point performance from Tina Charles, who was supported by 23 points from Diana Taurasi. Skylar Diggins-Smith had 5 assists in a losing cause for Phoenix, while Brianna Turner grabbed 8 rebounds.

The Lynx hit the break winning 60-48 before taking care of business in the second half.

Minnesota won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 42-23.

Minnesota heads into a battle against the Sky. Phoenix, meanwhile, will have their next action against Dallas.
