Storm Fall 78-75 Against Washington - Game Recap
The Mystics grabbed a 78-75 win over the Storm on Sunday, behind a 23-point effort from Ariel Atkins at The Entertainment and Sports Arena.
Washington did not, however, defeat the Storm against the spread, which closed at -3.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 155.5.
Elena Delle Donne had 17 points for Washington and Natasha Cloud chipped in with 11 points. Natasha Cloud had 10 assists for the Mystics, while Shakira Austin was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 9 boards.
Seattle got 23 points from Breanna Stewart in a losing cause and another 15 points from Jewell Loyd. Sue Bird contributed 7 assists for the Storm, while Tina Charles had 5 rebounds.
Washington trailed at halftime, 37-36.
Washington won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 34-26.
Next game, Washington takes its act home to face Las Vegas looking for another win. For Seattle, they head home to face Minnesota.
