Argonauts Fall 28-22 Against Montreal - Game Recap

Vernon Adams Jr.'s 335-yard performance through the air was the key in Montreal's 28-22 win over Toronto on Sunday at Stade Croix-Bleue Medavie Stadium.

Montreal won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -7.0-point spread. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 53.0.

Vernon Adams Jr. completed 19 of 25 pass attempts for 335 yards and 2 TDs for the Alouettes in the win.

Chris Rainey rushed for 46 yards for Toronto, while Brandon Burks added 37 yards. McLeod Bethel-Thompson threw for 464 yards for the Argonauts, while receivers Rodney Smith and S.J. Green had 136 and 86 yards respectively.

Montreal lost the offensive yardage battle to Toronto 569-412 yards in Sunday's game. Toronto had more first downs as that total ended up 30-18.

The time of possession battle favored Toronto as their offense was on the field for 32:49, longer than the 27:11 of their opponents.

Montreal looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Lions. The Argonauts will aim to get back on the winning track at Hamilton.
