Recap - Lions Defeat Montreal 35-19

The Alouettes came up short against the Lions in Week 5 action on Sunday, falling 35-19 at BC Place.

The Lions were a -8.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 46.0.

Shaun Shivers rushed for 63 yards, while Vernon Adams Jr. added 22 yards in the win. Shaun Shivers and Keon Hatcher added 73 and 68 receiving yards respectively.

Cody Fajardo rushed for 57 yards for Montreal, while Kaion Julien-Grant added 17 yards. Cody Fajardo threw for 280 yards for the Alouettes, while receivers Austin Mack and Tyler Snead had 72 and 61 yards respectively.

Montreal was outgained by British Columbia 377-371 yards in Sunday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 22-18 by the Alouettes.

Montreal lost the time of possession battle 32:28-28:32, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, British Columbia takes its act home to face Saskatchewan looking for another win. For Montreal, they head home to face Toronto.
