Sooners vs Cyclones Final: 42-41 - Recap
Kennedy Brooks tore up the turf for 132 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Sooners to a 42-41 win over the Cyclones at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
The Sooners won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -14.5-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.
Kennedy Brooks rushed for 132 yards, while Jalen Hurts added 68 yards in the win. CeeDee Lamb and Brayden Willis added 167 and 24 receiving yards respectively.
Breece Hall rushed for 110 yards for Iowa State, while Brock Purdy added 55 yards. Brock Purdy threw for 282 yards for the Cyclones, while receivers Tarique Milton and La'Michael Pettway had 67 and 46 yards respectively.
Oklahoma outgained Iowa State 499-477 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 26-24 by the Cyclones.
Iowa State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 32:39-27:21 split in that important category.
Next game, Oklahoma takes its act on the road to face Baylor looking for another win. For Iowa State, they head home to face Texas.
