Blue Devils Fall 38-31 Against Virginia Tech - Game Recap

Khalil Herbert scampered through the Duke defense for 208 yards as Virginia Tech handed the Blue Devils a 38-31 defeat on Saturday at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium.

The Hokies won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -10.5-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.

Khalil Herbert rushed for 208 yards, while Braxton Burmeister added 54 yards in the win. Tayvion Robinson and Tre Turner added 85 and 47 receiving yards respectively.

Mataeo Durant rushed for 86 yards for Duke, while Deon Jackson added 68 yards. Chase Brice threw for 271 yards for the Blue Devils, while receivers Jarett Garner and Noah Gray had 84 and 51 yards respectively.

Duke lost the offensive yardage battle to Virginia Tech 487-410 yards in Saturday's game. Virginia Tech had more first downs as that total ended up 25-19.

Virginia Tech led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:04-25:56 split in that important category.

Virginia Tech heads into a 6 battle against North Carolina. Duke, meanwhile, will have their next action against Syracuse.
