Bearcats Down USF 28-7 - Match Report
The Bulls had no answer for Gerrid Doaks on Saturday as the Bearcats rolled to a 28-7 win at Nippert Stadium.
The Bearcats earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -23.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 45.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Gerrid Doaks rushed for 102 yards, while Charles McClelland added 33 yards in the win. Jayshon Jackson and Tre Tucker added 47 and 19 receiving yards respectively.
Leonard Parker rushed for 51 yards for USF, while Kelley Joiner added 36 yards. Jordan McCloud threw for 137 yards for the Bulls, while receivers DeVontres Dukes and Johnny Ford had 47 and 43 yards respectively.
USF lost the offensive yardage battle to Cincinnati 332-291 yards in Saturday's game. Cincinnati had more first downs as that total ended up 22-19.
USF lost the time of possession battle 36:24-23:36, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Cincinnati looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Tulsa. USF will aim to get back on the winning track vs. East Carolina.
