Recap - Trojans Defeat Washington State 38-13

The battle between the Trojans and Cougars didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Washington State was handed a 38-13 defeat on Sunday at United Airlines Field at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Bettors who backed the Trojans were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -11.0 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go UNDER the closing total of 68.0.

Kenan Christon rushed for 11 yards, while Stephen Carr added 9 yards in the win. Drake London and Tyler Vaughns added 92 and 69 receiving yards respectively.

Deon McIntosh rushed for 65 yards for Washington State, while Clay Markoff added 12 yards. Gunner Cruz threw for 34 yards for the Cougars, while receivers Renard Bell and Travell Harris had 76 and 74 yards respectively.

USC outgained Washington State 287-263 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 20-15 by the Cougars.

USC lost the time of possession battle 35:33-24:27, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, USC takes its act on the road to face UCLA looking for another win. For Washington State, they head home to face California.
