Cougars vs Bulls Final: 35-27 - Recap

Baylor Romney threw for 305 yards to lead the Cougars over USF 35-27 on Saturday in Week 4 action at LaVell Edwards Stadium.

BYU did not, however, defeat the Bulls against the spread, which closed at -23.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 54.5.

Baylor Romney completed 20 of 25 pass attempts for 305 yards for the Cougars in the win.

Jaren Mangham rushed for 86 yards for USF, while Timmy McClain added 55 yards. Timmy McClain threw for 186 yards for the Bulls, while receivers Xavier Weaver and Demarcus Gregory had 76 and 54 yards respectively.

BYU outgained USF 443-367 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 23-21 by the Bulls.

BYU lost the time of possession battle 35:37-24:23, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, BYU takes its act on the road to face Utah State looking for another win. For USF, they head on the road to face SMU.
