Blue Devils Fall 31-27 Against Georgia Tech - Game Recap

Georgia Tech earned a 31-27 victory over Duke on Saturday in Week 6 action at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium.

Georgia Tech did not, however, defeat the Blue Devils against the spread, which closed at -4.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 61.0.

Jeff Sims rushed for 55 yards, while Dontae Smith added 42 yards in the win. Jahmyr Gibbs and Malachi Carter added 82 and 78 receiving yards respectively.

Mataeo Durant rushed for 152 yards for Duke, while Gunnar Holmberg added 30 yards. Gunnar Holmberg threw for 292 yards for the Blue Devils, while receivers Jalon Calhoun and Jake Bobo had 103 and 92 yards respectively.

Georgia Tech lost the offensive yardage battle to Duke 489-440 yards in Saturday's game. Duke had more first downs as that total ended up 27-17.

Duke led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 35:29-24:31 split in that important category.

Next game, Georgia Tech takes its act on the road to face Virginia looking for another win. For Duke, they head on the road to face Virginia.
