Alabama Defeats Mississippi State 49-9 - Recap

Bryce Young's 348-yard performance through the air was the key in Alabama's 49-9 win over Mississippi State on Saturday at Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field.

Alabama was a favorite by -17.5 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 59.5.

Bryce Young completed 20 of 28 pass attempts for 348 yards for the Crimson Tide in the win.

Dillon Johnson rushed for 24 yards for Mississippi State, while Jo'quavious Marks added 16 yards. Will Rogers threw for 300 yards for the Bulldogs, while receivers Jaden Walley and Makai Polk had 64 and 59 yards respectively.

Mississippi State lost the offensive yardage battle to Alabama 543-299 yards in Saturday's game. Mississippi State had more first downs as that total ended up 24-22.

Alabama lost the time of possession battle 30:07-29:53, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Alabama takes its act home to face Tennessee looking for another win. For Mississippi State, they head on the road to face Vanderbilt.
