RedHawks vs Zips Final: 34-21 - Recap

Jack Sorenson was good for 113 receiving yards on Saturday as the RedHawks grabbed a 34-21 win over the Zips at Fred C. Yager Stadium.

Miami-OH won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -20.0-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 51.0.

Keyon Mozee rushed for 73 yards, while Kenny Tracy added 50 yards in the win. Jack Sorenson and Andrew Homer added 113 and 45 receiving yards respectively.

Blake Hester rushed for 29 yards for Akron, while Anthony Williams Jr. added 25 yards. Zach Gibson threw for 291 yards for the Zips, while receivers Konata Mumpfield and Andre Williams had 109 and 72 yards respectively.

Akron lost the offensive yardage battle to Miami-OH 474-356 yards in Saturday's game. Miami-OH had more first downs as that total ended up 22-21.

The time of possession battle favored Miami-OH as their offense was on the field for 30:53, longer than the 29:07 of their opponents.

Miami-OH looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Ball State. Akron will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Buffalo.
