Kent State Falls 54-30 to Chippewas - Recap

Lew Nichols III ran for 215 yards as Central Michigan handled Kent State by a score of 54-30 on Wednesday at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.

The Chippewas were a -2.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 76.5.

Lew Nichols III rushed for 215 yards, while Darius Bracy added 20 yards in the win. JaCorey Sullivan and Dallas Dixon added 61 and 60 receiving yards respectively.

Marquez Cooper rushed for 83 yards for Kent State, while Ja'Shaun Poke added 33 yards. Dustin Crum threw for 322 yards for the Golden Flashes, while receivers Dante Cephas and Keshunn Abram had 100 and 55 yards respectively.

Kent State lost the offensive yardage battle to Central Michigan 505-456 yards in Wednesday's game. Central Michigan had more first downs as that total ended up 33-23.

Central Michigan led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 36:59-23:01 split in that important category.

Central Michigan heads into a Week 12 battle against Ball State. Kent State, meanwhile, will have their next action against Akron.
