Recap - Bearcats Defeat USF 45-28

Desmond Ridder led the way with 304 passing yards on Friday as the Bearcats picked up a 45-28 victory over the Bulls at Raymond James Stadium.

Cincinnati won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -24.0-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 58.5.

Desmond Ridder completed 31 of 39 pass attempts for 304 yards for the Bearcats in the win.

Jaren Mangham rushed for 53 yards for USF, while Kelley Joiner added 37 yards. Timmy McClain threw for 245 yards for the Bulls, while receivers Jimmy Horn Jr. and Xavier Weaver had 108 and 64 yards respectively.

USF was outgained by Cincinnati 506-346 yards in Friday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 30-21 by the Bearcats.

USF lost the time of possession battle 32:30-27:30, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Cincinnati looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against SMU. USF will aim to get back on the winning track at Tulane.
