Eastern Michigan Defeats Arizona State 30-21 - Recap

Samson Evans tore up the turf for 258 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Eagles to a 30-21 win over the Sun Devils at Sun Devil Stadium, Frank Kush Field.

Eastern Michigan won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +20.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 56.0.

Samson Evans rushed for 258 yards, while Austin Smith added 55 yards in the win. Tanner Knue and Andreas Paaske added 53 and 26 receiving yards respectively.

Xazavian Valladay rushed for 127 yards for Arizona State, while Daniyel Ngata added 32 yards. Emory Jones threw for 182 yards for the Sun Devils, while receivers Elijhah Badger and Andre Johnson had 88 and 29 yards respectively.

Arizona State was outgained by Eastern Michigan 458-352 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 25-18 by the Eagles.

Eastern Michigan led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:43-25:17 split in that important category.

Eastern Michigan looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Buffalo. Arizona State will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Utah.
