LSU Tigers vs Auburn Tigers Wrap - LSU Wins 21-17
The Tigers grabbed a Week 5 victory over the Tigers on Saturday, winning 21-17 at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
LSU did not, however, defeat the Tigers against the spread, which closed at -8.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 44.0.
Josh Williams rushed for 68 yards, while Jayden Daniels added 59 yards in the win. John Emery Jr. and Malik Nabers added 39 and 26 receiving yards respectively.
Tank Bigsby rushed for 45 yards for Auburn, while Jarquez Hunter added 35 yards. Robby Ashford threw for 337 yards for the Tigers, while receivers Ja'Varrius Johnson and Jarquez Hunter had 74 and 70 yards respectively.
LSU lost the offensive yardage battle to Auburn 438-270 yards in Saturday's game. Auburn had more first downs as that total ended up 20-19.
The time of possession battle favored Auburn as their offense was on the field for 30:53, longer than the 29:07 of their opponents.
Next game, LSU takes its act home to face Tennessee looking for another win. For Auburn, they head on the road to face Georgia.
