Recap - Golden Hurricane Defeat USF 48-42
Braylon Braxton was good for 302 yards through the air on Friday as the Golden Hurricane got past the Bulls by a score of 48-42 at Skelly Field at H.A. Chapman Stadium.
The Golden Hurricane earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -13.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 57.0 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Braylon Braxton completed 20 of 27 pass attempts for 302 yards for the Golden Hurricane in the win.
Brian Battie rushed for 169 yards for USF, while Byrum Brown added 76 yards. Byrum Brown threw for 240 yards for the Bulls, while receivers Sean Atkins and Jimmy Horn Jr. had 115 and 42 yards respectively.
USF was outgained by Tulsa 573-499 yards in Friday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 26-23 by the Golden Hurricane.
Tulsa lost the time of possession battle 32:37-27:23, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Tulsa takes its act on the road to face Houston looking for another win. For USF, they head home to face UCF.
