NIU Falls 35-22 to Chippewas - Recap

Jase Bauer ran for 109 yards as Central Michigan handled NIU by a score of 35-22 on Wednesday at Brigham Field at Huskie Stadium.

Central Michigan won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +4.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 53.5.

Jase Bauer rushed for 109 yards, while Lew Nichols III added 92 yards in the win. Jalen McGaughy and Finn Hogan added 36 and 34 receiving yards respectively.

Harrison Waylee rushed for 136 yards for NIU, while Antario Brown added 17 yards. Nevan Cremascoli threw for 158 yards for the Huskies, while receivers Tristen Tewes and Shemar Thornton had 70 and 49 yards respectively.

Central Michigan outgained NIU 451-316 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 27-15 by the Chippewas.

NIU lost the time of possession battle 35:25-24:35, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Central Michigan heads into a 11 battle against Buffalo. NIU, meanwhile, will have their next action against Western Michigan.
